Elevate Episode 2: Careers, studying abroad and the BICT degree

Elevate Episode 2 brought students together for a session led by Mr. Prasad De Silva on career enhancement, studying abroad, and the Faculty of Technology and its BICT degree. The session connected university life with the decisions students face as they plan their next steps.

Career enhancement

Career enhancement was a central theme of the session, with attention to how students can think about their professional direction alongside their studies. For students looking ahead to life after university, the discussion offered a space to consider their ambitions and the opportunities they want to pursue.

Studying abroad

The session also explored studying abroad as a possible next step. Alongside career development, this topic opened a conversation about further education and how overseas study can fit into a student’s longer-term plans.

The faculty and the BICT degree

Mr. Prasad De Silva also discussed the Faculty of Technology and the Bachelor of Information and Communication Technology Honours degree. Bringing these topics into the same session placed career and further-study choices in the context of the students’ academic journey.
