Who we are

icts.fyi is run by the Information Communication Technology Society (ICTS) of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura. The site publishes society news, events, and the membership registration form. By using the site or registering as a member, you agree to these terms.

Membership registration

Membership is open to students of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura. When you register, you agree that:

• The details you submit are accurate and belong to you — including your name, faculty, academic year, university registration number, and university email address.
• You will not register on behalf of another person or submit the same registration more than once.
• We may verify your details against university records and may decline or remove a registration that cannot be verified.

Submitting the form is a request to join. It does not by itself create membership — the committee confirms your place and contacts you about the next steps.

Your membership ID

After registering you receive a membership ID. Keep it — we use it to identify your registration. Do not share it with people outside the society, and tell us if you think someone else is using it.

Acceptable use

When using this site or taking part in society activities, do not:

• Submit false, misleading, abusive, or unlawful content through any form on the site.
• Attempt to gain access to accounts, admin areas, or data that are not yours.
• Disrupt the site or the services it depends on, including automated scraping or bulk submissions.
• Harass other members or behave in a way that breaches university policies at society events.

We may suspend access or remove a membership if these terms are broken.

Content and intellectual property

Articles, photographs, event branding, and the ICTS name and logo belong to the society or the people who created them. You may share and link to our content for non-commercial purposes with credit. Do not reuse our branding to imply that ICTS endorses something it does not.

If you send us content — for example a blog contribution or event photographs — you confirm you have the right to share it and you allow ICTS to publish it on our website and social channels.

Events

Individual events such as CryptX, Envision, Elevate, and ICTS Mehewara may have their own rules, entry requirements, and deadlines. Where those rules differ from these terms, the event rules apply to that event.

Availability and accuracy

We publish this site on a best-effort basis as a student society. Content may change, and the site may be unavailable at times. We try to keep event dates and details current, but we cannot guarantee that everything is accurate or complete at all times.

External links

Some pages link to services we do not control, such as WhatsApp, LinkedIn, and YouTube. Their terms and privacy practices apply when you use them.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the society and the site change. The date at the end of this page shows when it last changed. Continuing to use the site after an update means you accept the revised terms.
