Envision Episode 4 — DevOps Unlocked
A hands-on masterclass with Sysco LABS Sri Lanka on Git, containerisation, and GitHub Actions — a production-ready DevOps pipeline, built end to end.
Episode 4 of Envision was a hands-on masterclass on how modern software actually gets built, tested, and shipped, run with engineers from Sysco LABS Sri Lanka.
Rather than talking about DevOps in the abstract, the session walked participants through a production-ready pipeline end to end.
What the session covered
Git as the backbone of a team workflow, not just a place to put code.
Containerisation — packaging an application so it runs the same way everywhere.
GitHub Actions for automated builds, tests, and deployments.
The workshop was open to ICTS members at the Faculty of Technology and run as a working session, with participants building the pipeline alongside the presenters.
